The Windy City!

So at 11:30 Sunday night, 5 of us ventured out to a truck stop to get some dinner. Well our "dinner" turned into a roadtrip to Chicago! We all skipped classes and chapel on Monday, but who cares!? It was so random and one of the funnest things I have ever done!

Here's how the night went down...

We walked around the streets of Chicago at 3am in the morning. There was nobody out on the streets! We had the town to ourselves.

We watched the sun rise over Lake Michigan! It was SOOO...pretty

We walked down Navy Pier at 6am as soon as it opened. Once again, nobody was there! It was so fun and really pretty!

Me and Kate found our favorites boys' house! Ben & Jerry's is our "thing"

The whole gang at Navy Pier! -Niki, Dave, Kate, Hogan, and Me

Taking a cat nap in the HUMUNGO McDonalds. We were pooped so we all fell asleep

And the trip wouldn't have been complete without Hogan's ticket. He was doing a little speeding. Dave told Hogan "Technically you don't have to pay that ticket. You just won't be able to go to Indiana because there will be a warrant out for your arrest."

I'm pretty sure that I have never laughed so hard in my life. There was so many funny things that happend but I'm so tired. I have gotten 4 hours of sleep since Friday night so I'm hitting the hay...gnite

Saturday

Is that SNOW out there??? Oh yes...it sure is! ARGH!

Well tonite I got the privelege of going to the Jackson Symphony Orchestra. I just happened to leave at intermission. (Shh..don't tell my prof)

What are the odds that out of the hundreds of seats in the concert hall, tonite my seat just happened to be right behind my high school band teacher. Strange! But I got to sit right between 2 extremely old people, couldn't be younger than 80 I'm guessing and they were using binoculars to watch. But I learned tonite that you can buy season tickets for the orchestra! I'm sorry but if I was rich enough to get season tickets to anything, the Jackson Symphony Orchestra would probably be my last choice.

Well the ochestra made me tired....Goodnight

...just when I thought this school couldn't get any worse!

21 days left

A word to the wise...never go running and try a "new route" without actually knowing where you are going. With my wonderful sense of direction and all these farm roads out here in Spring Arbor I ended up running quite a few more miles than I intended. So I hurt! Okay that's all I have to say-Adios!

26 days...

Only 26 days left of school! It was going by so fast but now time has completely stopped. I've never been so stressed or tired in my life. Profs think it's fun to just pile it all on at the end! NOT FUNNY! And I've been a total procrastinator. The weather is so nice, we've been playing beach volleyball for 2-3 hours every night. Oh well, papers can wait i'm sure

Wednesday

Anybody with me, this is the slowest week EVER! Tonight I had to get out of this place so Amanda, Seana, and I went to my aunt's coffee shop. It was so nice to get away, people are getting CRAZY here. There are SO many things to get done in the next few weeks of school and everyone is a little edgy, well not a little...I'd say A LOT EDGY! So, I left the drama and left the arbor. Seana is sooo...funny! She thinks "us farmers" are superior to her! HAHA! She thinks cow and tractors are funny. Wow!
Tomorrow NO CLASSES! I'm not even going to set my alarm clock! can't tell you that last time that's happened.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TRICIA!!! (I would put ur age in here to embarrass you but I don't know it, I still consider you to be 20!) :)

adios

I'm sad and happy to announce that I'm not coming back to Spring Arbor next year. God has been giving me an AMAZING peace about leaving this place, it's awesome and I'm so thankful for it. I love the people I've met the last few months but I know there's so much more in store for me. I have to move back home, which will be very interesting, but I can do it! I will miss you like crazy Kate, but we are family and u can't get rid of me! :)

BOREDOM!

If you can die from boredom I think all of you guys would have been at a funeral today. Being a lovely "liberal arts" school we have to take Fine Arts as a requirement. Well we had our lovely visit the the Toledo Art Museum for a few huors. No offense to all you people who like art, but I wasn't really in the mood at the time. And it's not like we just got to walk around and look at the art....NO of course not. We had to listen and take notes from our prof would was making comments on probably a quarter of them. Which is a lot.
Anywho...Taylor came again last night which was a blast. She got to experience the "DC" food -hope she's still alive this morning!
...off to rollerblade
