I miss school

I never EVER in a million years would have ever admitted to anybody that I miss school...but now I do! I've been home since Wednesday cuz I've been sick (I loved my momma taken care of me) but I'm ready to get back.
I got to see Jessica Holeman for a couple of days! That was fun, as always. We went to the volleyball game to see Dansville win Districts! GO AGGIES! A year too late...but oh well!
Last night Amanda and Matt dragged me bowling and I consistently lost every game with the mega-high scores of 49 and 52. Oh yah, watch out pro-bowlers! Here I come! Oh yah, and Bethany, Dez, Matt, me and amanda had a FUN night Saturday driving around tryin' to find trouble.

'Tis the season to be SICK! So we are all pretty much sick at school. The futon is covered in blankets, yummy tissues, cough drops, and homework that should be getting finished. Tonight Kate said, "I have a headache so bad that I am having labor...in my head!" Oh, she's so funny! I love my roomie! :)
Tonight Matt came to visit Amanda at school, that was pretty fun. We even busted out a jam session for him in the prayer chapel. We are in the process of perfecting "Broken" by Seether and Amy Lee. It's for our Annie who is gone :( We miss you!!!
Gotta study....

Ahah!

In my Psych class we've been talking about stress and ways to cope with it and all that garbage. Today our professor told us that accident-proneness is a side effect of stress. I think I've been under severe stress since about the age of 5. ...so that's what's wrong with me!

Valentines Day

Me and Annie
Hosted by Photobucket.com
Singles-Awareness Day, Proud to be Single day...call it whatever you want it still sucks. Annie called us tonight to tell us that she's going home to southern Ohio for ten days and that she might not be coming back at all this semester. That sure put a damper on our lovely cookie making session. Annie is my best friend at Spring Arbor. I don't know what I'm going to do withouth you Annette! We love you Annie and we are praying for you like mad! Hope to see you soon

So this weekend was actually really fun. Saturday we slept until 1ish and then we went to Olive Garden. Emily spilled her drink all over Cory and we were laughing so hard. A waiter came over and we thought he was going to kick us out for being so loud. Good times!
Today we went to church at Westwinds. It was pretty good this time. Vince talked about Judas and betraying Jesus with a kiss. Then people washed their hands in wine. I was just watching doing a lot of thinking about how much it would stink to get up in the morning and not have someone who forgives us.
Well I need to stop procrastinating and get my Modern Social Problems homework done. Bye!

Friday

It's the weekend FINALLY!!! It's been a busy week. I think profs like to load it on in the beginning of the semester in hopes that you will drop out of their class. Mission complete!
I'm not going home this weekend but as much as my parents hate to admit it I think they miss me! Haha. Maybe not, but they keep calling me and Dad made sure I knew I was welcome at home anytime.
Tonight we went to Fiddler on the Roof. It was SOO...good! It was fun because I knew a lot of people in it. After the musical I went to Steak & Shake with Crazy Kate, Cory, Lydia, Emily, and Lisa. So thats my boring Friday evening. Goodnight!

Weekends

So... weekends at the Arbor are pretty boring. I watched way too many movies and played tons of games. Last night we had some boys and Annie and Cory in our room watching "Ghosts and the Darkness". Dumb movie... and we played Uno and Catch Phrase. And tonight we watched the big game of course and played Catch Phrase again in the boys village because Cory is obsessed. Looks like I'm never staying on the weekends again. Oh, I tried Westwinds Church this morning. It was interesting. I didn't like the music because it was like a concert. They were songs nobody knew and they didn't put words up so it was kinda weird. I didn't like how the worship leader looked like she enjoyed all the attention too, kinda annoying.

Lesson learned...

Today I found out some crazy things about this school;

1. Apparently at Spring Arbor students can get fined for getting caught dancing in their rooms!

2. When boys are in the room a shoe has to be put in the door lengthwise or else you get fined! Me and Kate had it sideways....ooops!

3. Spring Arbor "security guards" can give away speeding tickets...nice!

Ghetto Fabulous

I just tore it up on the bowling lanes with a high score of 68! Go me! We had to dress "Ghetto Fabulous". Me and Annie were definenltly looking ghetto with the boxer shorts, puffy jackets, and bandanas. That was an adventure but we had fun. My favorite group though was the Napolean Dynamite team. Amanda's core group showed up in fashionable thrift clothing. So to find Amanda clothes we had to go to St. Vincents, a thrift store in downtown Jackson. While we were shopping around I felt like I was on a missions trip in my own town. There were homeless people wandering the aisles looking for clothes to keep warm and a lady was talking about how her kindergartener had just got kicked out of school! Just minutes from Spring Arbor their was people in need. It made me realize how I don't have to go around the world to be a missionary, there are people right in front of us everyday who need the Lord.

My new profession

So I don't really know what you people want to know but today I dyed two people's hair. When we get bored at college we dye hair! While I was dying my roomate Kate's hair we tore down the shower curtain and got dye all over so we just got done cleaning a public dorm bathroom....ew!

Here I come...

So yes I have joined the lovely blogging world. According to a certain pastor, everyone should have one of these. So, since in college I have nothing better to do I figured I would start one of these so all you people at home will know what's up on my end. Have fun reading but don't blame me for how boring this is!
